Trümmertanz. Christoph Westermeier & Daniel Poller

A photograph from the archive of the painting box from 1948 is the starting point of the exhibition “Trümmer Tanz” by Daniel Poller and Christoph Westermeier. In the photo you can see four couples dancing, festively dressed up, in the ruins of the old painting box. Poller and Westermeier take this picture as the starting point for an ahistorical history in which past and future, fiction and reality mingle. People from the eventful history of the painting box as well as societal questions of different eras emerge.
